Hey peeps!
It’s been a busy few months at Sketchy Systems HQ. I’ve uploaded version 1 of the mini book ‘Why Feedback Sucks, and what to do about it’. This is the first releasable version of this book, I’ll be updating every month.
Why Feedback Sucks, and what to do about it.
This book is a standalone guide to doing feedback better, and is also a part of ‘Don’t be a Dick’. If you’d like to be less of a dick you’ll need the right sort of feedback.
The book details the sorts of feedback that exist, so I can be precise about the sort of feedback I suggest in Don’t be a Dick.
You can download the latest pdf of ‘Why Feedback sucks’ here. https://mikehaber.co/hello/feedback-mini-book/
This book includes the types of feedback I’d like on the book. Let me know what you think!
Don’t be a Dick
The overview of this book and the table of contents are available. The table of contents should make sense and be interesting. It’s available at https://mikehaber.co/hello/contents/
Currently chapter include
Just Draw the F*cker. A drawing of what we’d like to happen.
Enough of a Theory of People to get you started.
and
A Simple guide to being curious
Let me know these chapters or others on the website are super interesting. I’ll write them in the order people want to read them.
Safe-o-Meter
Taking an interest in Psychological Safety I’ve drawn a Safe-o-Meter. I’ll be turning this into a mini book in the next few weeks. This evolved with help from twitter, as you can see below.
Working in the open and sharing ideas on twitter may become my default creation strategy.
The current version of the Safe-o-Meter was featured in https://www.psychsafety.co.uk/psychological-safety-63-open-secrets-half-baked-ideas/
If you know anyone who would be interested in this newsletter please forward it to them!
Until next time!
Mike
